I’ve realized that I really need to work on my intro game. Do I need to say hello to you every time? Is that repetitive? Maybe it is. Maybe I am just writing too many posts at one time so I feel obnoxious. Or, I may actually be. You tell me.
Anyways, I flat out stole this dress from Dana. Well, to be fair, she had tried it on at BFB a previous week and it was too big for her. Here’s the thing, I seem to attract ALL the tiny people. I think my psyche thinks that if I have a herd of spindly people around me, my workouts with will 10x better and I will also end up stick-like. ANYWAYS, point is, Dana is a gorgeous twig and I’m more of a branch so therefore, I won the prize and fit into the dress. Yay for curves, people! Yay for curves.
I adore this dress because I feel like it’s Amish chic. The black linen paired with the modern cut outs on the top and thin straps on the back are perfection. Basically, I feel like a modern Laura Ingalls Wilder which, let’s be real- #goals.
While putting together outfits, I also spotted this sweatshirt from Free People and thought I’d pair them together. Let’s be real, I like being fancy pancy, but my heart truly craves constant comfort. So a lot of times, I’ll dress up and then toss a pretty sweatshirt into my bag for later in the evening when things cool down and I want to feel a bit more at ease.
Plus, it has puffed sleeves. My inner Anne of Green Gables was like, “Yep, you’re gonna wear that!”
Until next time!
Photos by Dana. On this particular day she was a champ chasing me around in boiling heat, fed me all the snacks and enabled my wardrobe shop that followed our shoot. Bae status.
