Coming at you with another outfit post and today, we are partnering with Bear Fox Babe. I had the chance to visit and meet the owner, Macy last month and I was so inspired by her little shop, I asked if she would be up for some collaborating in the future. She was just as excited as I was so a couple of weeks later, Dana and I set off for another visit and some wandering around Ellicott City.
Before I move on with the info on the outfit, I did want to share that just a few short days after we returned home, Ellicott City was devastated by intense floods that washed away the better part of the town. Bear Fox Babe was among the shops that were damaged and are currently working to get back on their feet. My heart is so broken for this sweet town. The heart of the US is made up of small towns and Ellicott City has always been one of the dearests. They are now facing a huge journey to rebuild. If you want to help out, there are several donation pages and fundraisers happening over the next few months! Visit this site to find out more about how you can help!
The first piece I ran to in the shop was this dress. I wasn’t sure it would work well on my body, but it was so flowy and ethereal, I knew I had to try it on. As soon as I zipped into it, I was smitten! This is definitely a special occasion outfit for me. It’s way outside of my denim, chambray, linen lineup, but I would totally wear this out for a date night or for a summer concert.
Here’s my tip: wear short skirts. You’re only young once so do it while you can, but if you’re going to do it, try and wear them somewhere that won’t require a lot of sitting. Because, let’s face it- they’re already short enough, you don’t need to launch your entire buttcheek into the world. Not cute.
Anyways, Dana had brought a leftover floral crown from a previous shoot that I popped on my head. Again, not a day to day outfit, but summer comes with special parties and outings and this would be an effortless piece to throw on for an evening out.
If you can, please do what you can to help the Dear Ellicott City! Macy is working on getting some pop up shops up and running so check back to see when/where you can find BFB in the next couple of months!
Until next time!
As always, thanks to Dana from Earthmark Photography for shooting with me- especially for putting up with 95 degree heat and ALL the sweat.
